Toys and financial donations are needed this holiday season for local families as part of the CBS13 & KMAX Season of Giving holiday drive benefiting three local United Ways, including United Way California Capital Region. Donations can be made through the online fundraising page, purchased through the group’s Amazon wish list or dropped off at a partner location by Dec. 14. Other partners include In-Shape Family Fitness, Del Rio & Caraway, Great Clips and Pest Pros. For a list of partner locations and links to donate online, visit www.yourlocalunitedway.org.
Families participating in programs with United Way California Capital Region will have the opportunity to attend the Season of Giving Holiday Market in mid-December, where they can select gifts from donated toys, games, household items and more.
“Last year’s Holiday Market was full of energy as our partners came together with our local families to provide a wonderful holiday experience,” said Dr. Dawnté Early, president and CEO, United Way California Capital Region. “This year, families are struggling even more, and we know this event will be a bright light in their holiday season, not just for the joyful experience but for the tangible gifts parents will be able to select for their children, which they might not otherwise be able to provide.”
United Way California Capital Region has been a driving force across the region for more than 100 years, listening, responding and taking comprehensive action to meet local needs.
